Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 October 2026

Treaty is built to collect as little as possible. There are no ads and no tracking across other apps or websites. An account is optional. This policy explains what happens to your information.

On your phone

Your pets’ profiles (names, type, breed, age, size, allergies and health notes), pet photos, scan history, food log, chat messages and settings are saved on your device.

If you create an account

You can sign in with Apple, Google or an email code. We then store your email address (or Apple’s private relay address), your name if the sign-in service shares it, and a backup of your pets’ profiles, scan results, food log and settings, so you can get them back on another phone. Pet photos and chat messages are not backed up.

Accounts and backups are stored with our provider Supabase. You can sign out at any time, and you can permanently delete your account and its backup in Profile → Delete account.

Sent to get a result

When you scan something, use Pet Kitchen or ask Treaty a question, the photo or text and the relevant pet details are sent securely to the Treaty server and on to Google’s Gemini AI service to produce the answer.

Our server does not keep this content after the answer is returned. Google processes it under the Gemini API terms and may keep it for a limited time, for example to prevent abuse. Please don’t include people’s faces or personal documents in photos.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your card details.

We use RevenueCat to check whether you have an active subscription. It receives an app ID (your account ID if you are signed in, otherwise a random one) and your purchase history (such as product, price and dates), not your name or email.

Permissions

Camera and photos: only used when you choose to scan or add a picture.

Notifications: reminders and tips are scheduled on your phone. You can turn them off in Treaty’s settings or your phone settings.

Our website and waitlist

If you join the waitlist on our website, we store your email address, the date you joined, your place on the list, and which invite link you used (if any), only to send your launch code, track invite rewards, and tell you about important updates. It is stored with our provider Cloudflare. Every email has a way to unsubscribe, or email us to have your address deleted.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your information, show ads, or use your data to track you. Treaty is not directed at children under 13.

Your choices

You can delete everything Treaty stores on your phone in Settings → Delete all my data, or by deleting the app. If you have an account, Profile → Delete account permanently removes it and its backup. To ask about your information, email us and we will help.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes we will update the date above. Contact: [email protected].
